ICEGATE (Indian Customs Electronic Gateway) is the official e-commerce portal of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). It is the single-window platform for electronic customs transactions — Bill of Entry, Shipping Bill, duty payment, IGST refund, duty drawback, e-Sanchit and AD Code registration.
Under the Customs Act, 1962 and EDI regulations, customs transactions at EDI-enabled ports must be filed electronically through ICEGATE. The portal is PAN-based and requires a Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) for signing documents. It integrates with banks, DGFT (for IEC) and port systems. Registration is essential for importers, exporters, customs brokers and other trade partners.
